Easy Basque Burnt Cheesecake Recipe, 바스크 번트 치즈케 (Low-Carb & 15-Minute Showstopper)

Super simple, luxuriously delicious, and the ultimate showstopper to bring to holiday gatherings!

As the holiday season approaches and party invitations roll in, bringing store-bought desserts can get repetitive and expensive. This effortless cheesecake is always a massive crowd-pleaser. It’s so quick and easy to whip up, yet it delivers such a sophisticated, upscale flavor. In fact, it’s so simple that even my elementary-schoolers can make it all by themselves to gift to their teachers!

It’s lightly sweetened, packed with protein, and makes a wonderful, guilt-free treat for anyone watching their carbs or dieting. Brew a warm cup of coffee and enjoy a slice as the weather turns chilly.

  • Ingredients:(Make sure all ingredients are at room temperature)
    • Cream Cheese: 360g
    • Sugar: 80g
    • Eggs: 2 large eggs
    • Plain Yogurt: 1 tbsp (Optional)
    • Milk or Heavy Cream: 150ml
    • All-Purpose Flour: 15g (approx. 1 tbsp)
  • Instructions:
    1. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sugar together until completely smooth and creamy, with a smooth mayonnaise-like texture.
    2. Mix in the plain yogurt (optional). Then add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until fully incorporated and smooth without separating.
    3. Pour in the milk or heavy cream (150ml) and stir until well combined.
    4. Sift in the all-purpose flour (15g) and mix gently until no lumps remain and the batter is silky.
    5. Pour the batter into a 7-inch round cake pan lined with crumpled parchment paper that rises high above the rim.
    6. Bake at 450°F (approx. 230°C) for 35 minutes until the top turns a lovely light brown.(Note: The center will still be very soft and jiggly when you take it out—this is normal!)
    7. Let it cool completely at room temperature, then chill in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours (or overnight) to set before slicing and serving.
    8. All set to bring to the gathering!

Tips:

  • Texture: The fewer air bubbles you create, the silkier your cheesecake will be. Be sure to mix everything on low speed.
  • Customization: You can easily adjust the amount of sugar and the baking time (or top color) to suit your personal preference.
  • Effortless Hosting: I usually let it set overnight—making it the evening before and leaving it in the fridge to bring to the gathering the next day makes the whole process truly effortless!
